If you are a college student with a passion for truly making a difference, an unpaid internship at a W&R branch office may be for you. W&R interns may receive college credit in exchange for a prime opportunity to see the inner workings of a W&R field branch office. Interns have the opportunity to work alongside a seasoned W&R Field Leader and will be able to watch, assist, and learn how W&R Field Leaders work with clients and others on a panoply of products and services. Interns also gain invaluable insight into the financial services industry generally and the culture of W&R specifically.

ResponsibilitiesBy way of example, unpaid interns at W&R may:
-Observe Field Leaders interacting with clients
-Attend presentations and have many other opportunities to learn more about the financial services industry and Waddell & Reed
-Observe and learn from team meetings and brainstorming sessions
-Conduct research to better learn about financial services and market trends
-Complete assigned reading or other homework assignments as assigned by the Field Leader
-Attend marketing events to observe and learn
RequirementsQualifications for unpaid interns are that they must:
-Be 18 years of age or older
-Be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
-Be self-motivated and able to take initiative
-Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Have a desire to work with diverse groups of people
-Have an interest in finance and/or the financial services industry
