Accrete Group, an association management company (AMC*), supports volunteer leaders of nonprofits and associations in developing strategies to improve the organization’s capacity to serve its constituents. We provide all the staffing services tax exempt organizations require from strategic management for growth and development working with the leaders of our clients as part of their team to managing the day-to-day activities of financial management, event planning, administrative support, government relations grassroots, membership development, and publications support including print, electronic and Internet.
Ideal Candidate: Organized, detail-oriented, and great at people management. Please have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Show some knowledge in environmental ad agricultural sciences and must be familiar with grassroots campaigns (i.e., policies, functionality,etc…). Comfort and proficiency with technology like e-mail, the Internet, social media, MS Office, and have the willingness to learn user-friendly software. Able to multi-task and work independently. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to attend phone meetings a few times a week to conduct interviews and meet with staff. Being adaptable to changes in projects and priorities as required.
Become familiar with the legislative priorities and policy issues of the association. Manage monitoring of proposed bills at the state level. Write updates for the members on what is happening at the capitol on small business issues, work with lobbyist if needed. Add information on districts to database. Create legislative updates and reports for leadership and the members. Create and implement grassroots strategies, organize grassroots campaigns and assist grassroots leadership with their messaging to legislators and the general public, utilize social media where appropriate. If available, attend public hearings and legislative committee meetings. Develop coalitions to support the passage of policy issues.
