Local First of Greater Pocatello is seeking to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. The intern will work closely with the Director to help support online marketing and communications campaigns for the organizations. Positions are unpaid and are offered to college students (undergraduate or graduate) as well as recent graduates.

Applications are accepted and processed throughout the year depending on recruitment needs. Positions are filled on a first-come-first-served basis for the following terms:

Early Spring Term - First week of January through mid-March
Late Spring Term - Mid-March through end of May
Summer Term - Early June through mid-August
Fall Term - Early September through mid-December


Duties & Responsibilities

Projects may include, but will not be limited to:

Assist with design of printed and digital marketing materials, including brochures, posters, and web banners.
Edit the website and blog.
Perform marketing research and general administrative tasks as needed.


An opportunity for current students and recent graduates of varying marketing backgrounds to get tangible experience and build a profile while working with a small non-profit organization.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 or higher (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
Microsoft Office
Excellent design skills with a strong focus on typography and layout.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience/strong interest in writing and editing copy for marketing materials.
Resourcefulness, ability to take initiative, and to work both independently and as a team are vital.
