iCAST (International Center for Appropriate & Sustainable Technology) is a local non-profit organization helping communities use their local resources for their benefit. Our projects foster economic viability, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility in under-served communities and a new vision for their future. This position will not only use your design skills, but your abilities to make decisions and analyze information.

Responsibilities

• Provide graphic design support and advice to the entire iCAST team
• Provide graphic design support and advice to website developer
• Develop event materials, including banner design, displays, technical drawings, etc
• Assist in the design of collateral materials including newsletters, brochures, flyers and signage
• Assist in the development of Marketing Tool Kits for various programs, including print ads, web ads, web pages, multimedia, brochures, posters, press releases, etc

Requirements

• Be working toward Bachelors or Masters degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations
• Nonprofit interest preferred
• Strong computer skills (Word, Outlook, Publisher)
• General graphic design software experience (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Demonstrated competency with graphic design programs including InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe - additional programs helpful
• Confident, social and responsible
• Attentive to detail
• Work well with deadlines
• Self-starter
• Work well individually and as part of a team
• Poised under pressure
• Enjoy fast-paced environment
• Passionate about the mission of iCAST
