Spark Career Strategy offers the right marketing, public relations or graphic design student an opportunity to gain real business experience and exposure by creating and delivering fresh innovative press and graphic design.
ResponsibilitiesInternship Duties Include:
•Develop comprehensive press list with local and national media contacts, agents and public relations experts including new (social media) outlets
•Create press releases for book release, workshops and speaking opportunities and send to press list. Includes working directly with press to follow-up and schedule. High level of professionalism, maturity and polish required.
•Social media outreach and growth.
•Create and maintain attention-grabbing newsletter.
•Using Photoshop, create high impact graphics including website sliders, flyers and marketing materials. All original materials created will become a part of your permanent portfolio.
•Students majoring in public relations, marketing or graphic design.
•Must be able to provide examples of marketing materials created for business or class (i.e. press release, graphic design)
•You must be able to commit approximately 10 hours/week. Work is primarily done remotely with a once per week in-person meeting. Opportunity to gain internship experience flexibly around your class schedule.
•Advanced user in Photoshop
•Self-motivation and independent work habits
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
Duration & Pay
Internship begins mid-January through early May, with opportunity to extend through summer. Internship is unpaid, but willing to work with your classes or professors to receive class credit, if applicable; great opportunity to build and grow your professional portfolio and experience.
