DescriptionWe are looking for current college students who have an 'Uncommon Aptitude' to contribute to our blog. You will be sharing your college experience, and the path you took to get there, with high school students who are getting ready to start the college application process. We want to show them that there is another way of doing things. Today students do not get accepted to college because they are well-rounded. The best schools are looking for students who possess unique talents and that are passionate about what they do. If you think you have an 'uncommon aptitude," we want to hear from you.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be asked to contribute regular blog posts, including how-to guides, profiles, lists, and reflections on the high school experience. You will also have the opportunity to write about your school and your experiences there. If you are into photography, graphic design, or video, we might even have a place for those on the site, too. Stop by http://uncommonaptitude.com and take a look around. If you think you have something to contribute, then we would love to hear from you. This is not just for people who consider themselves writers. If you're good at something and able/willing to write about it, then we may have a place for you.
RequirementsThis is a semester long internship, with the potential for continuing on into the spring. It is a remote internship, and we hope to involve students from all over the country. If you are interested, respond with a short statement about you, your 'uncommon aptitude,' and your school. Make sure to include your first and last name and a valid email address in the body of the message. Also, include a sample of what you can contribute - a writing sample, a photograph, a video. You are encouraged to include links whenever possible, but attachments will be accepted. Finally, please put "UA Intern Application" in the subject line. Messages with different subjects will not be reviewed.
Please submit applications to: email@example.com
