The Localism™ team is looking for an undergraduate intern to assist in designing graphics to help engaging local merchants and patrons within the community through our start-up retail concept, MADE in Long Beach, in the heart of the city at 236 Pine Ave.

MADE in Long Beach is a unique shared retail space that brings together local makers and merchants from across Long Beach. We help fill the gap between product idea and opening a retail store or wholesale product. Local entrepreneurs can test market their wares, build a fan base, and create cashflow before taking the leap into a full retail concept.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating amazing visuals, is a natural storyteller, and has a true love for the City of Long Beach. If you have your thumb on the pulse of Long Beach nightlife, are the one your friends ask for local food recommendations, or are the coordinator for your friends social gatherings, you're probably the perfect fit for our team.

Your job will be to assist the Marketing Director in telling the stories of the merchants in our space through posters, flyers, banners, and the website. And we'll throw in a little advertising from time to time as well.

While here, you'll learn how to plan and execute a marketing calendar, create effective social media graphics, and create visuals that engage patrons and increases revenue for our network of independent merchants.

You'll be working with a small team of motivated entrepreneurs in our start-up offices, located in downtown Long Beach on Pine Avenue. We've got a casual work environment that is both pet and bike friendly. Plus you'll have many opportunities to network with influential members of the Long Beach community.

So if you love Long Beach like we do and want to be a part of a movement to change our local economy apply now!

* Localism™ is a platform-driven movement connecting and empowering locally owned merchants and organizations. Our goal is to direct spending toward these local establishments, resulting in job growth and a more self-reliant, connected community.
