Description

Forward-thinking, fast paced company in Hong Kong looking for a Graphic Designer for a 2 month internship to work on digital copies with an angle on business, lifestyle and investment. The ideal candidate will be capable of assuming responsibility for developing and implementing quality products that are published globally to a discerning audience. He or she also needs to have an understanding of the editorial requirements of the reports and translate this into a well-designed and error-free product.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Brainstorming and mocking up design ideas
Working closely together with an international editorial team on print projects of up to 700 pages, published annually, quarterly, or monthly
Projecting estimated timelines for design projects
Produce high quality work, including, but not limited to layout, design and image processing.
Have an understanding of intellectual copyrights

Requirements

Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
Working knowledge of digital image retouching
Working knowledge of creating business graphics
Management and coordination of detail oriented design projects and production work
Knowledge of all aspects of print production
Ability to manage tight deadlines
Ability to multitask
Keeping abreast of developments in IT, particularly design programmes.

Qualifications:

2+ years of verifiable experience in graphics design, ideally in business publishing
Excellent organization and communications skills
Excellent knowledge of English as the company’s working language
Ability to prioritize, manage time schedules and work with minimal supervision
Demonstrate ability to work as a team player
Proactive self-starter that can maintain an upbeat positive attitude
