DescriptionWe’re offering an internship at the Leg Up Program, but this internship isn't for people looking to fetch coffee. Actually, we might make you get coffee, but that’s not the point. The point is that the internship at the Leg Up is meant for driven, innovative people who are prepared for a lot of responsibility and the respect that comes from skillfully managing that responsibility. We want to hire an intern that we’d feel comfortable having as full-time salaried employee because, if you excel here, full-time employment is exactly what you’ll be offered.
What would you be getting yourself into? Well, the Leg Up Program is a rapidly expanding start-up, non-profit that assists homeless individuals with job placement while giving them life skills coaching and mentoring, that is looking to expand our online presence. We understand fully how important it is to make use of the latest cutting-edge strategies to leverage all the Internet can offer. We are committed to developing innovative solutions and to making the Leg Up highly visible in the community.
Since more and more of that powerful visibility is increasingly derived from the correct usage of social media, this opening is reserved for candidates who specifically possess an intimate familiarity with all forms of social media. We want skilled writers who can produce persuasive blog posts and captivating website text; media-savvy individuals who easily tailor their writing to a variety of mediums. If you can do that and easily navigate the increasingly complicated world of social media, then we’ll do our best to teach you about strategies for success.
