Description

CITY TALK MAGAZINE is a Non-profit 501(c) 3 Organization works with the members of the community have recognized the importance of involvement and education in the Metropolitan Detroit Area. CITY TALK MAGAZINE is unique in that it focuses on “Bringing the Pride Back to Detroit” and displays professional business advertisement for minority entrepreneurs in the Metropolitan Detroit Area. This will encourage the support of our minority-owned business that has been continuously overlooked. The magazine displays employment opportunities, industry trends, tips and techniques from business professionals and city highlights. In addition to our own in-house staff, we have regular editorial contributions from industry experts and local motivational events. The magazine also contains expert commentary, industry news, and reader’s feedback. We are currently working with the City of Detroit to create a positive atmosphere in and around the city. CITY TALK MAGAZINE gives back to the community through this FREE Publication.

Responsibilities

Interns will assist CTM communications staff with production of images, logos, advertisements, flyers, web design, manuals, posters, maps and other materials. Duties will include the following:
• Develop one or more major graphic design projects
• Finalize existing files for executive and marketing purposes
• Create new electronic files
• Assist staff with day-to-day office operations
• Manage photo archive
• Manage Websites and blogs

Requirements

Interns will assist CTM and All Pro Color staff with production of images, logos, advertisements, flyers, web design, manuals, posters, maps and other materials. Candidate must be fluent in Adobe illustrator, Adobe photo shop, etc.
Proficiency in utilizing computers and the Internet
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop A PLUS
Duties for Graphic Designer will include the following:
