DescriptionThe Visual Communication Specialist is responsible for creating high-quality print and digital graphics to support Unispec's business development, marketing and proposals.The ideal candidate is highly-motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, and possesses a positive, can-do attitude. You must enjoy working in a collaborative, high-pressure, fast-paced, and deadline-oriented environment; bring the skills necessary to collaborate and work alongside a wide-range of different individuals; and be open to design input and feedback. This position also requires excellent decision making, customer service and computer skills, writing skills, and the ability to support a wide-range of projects and activities while consistently producing product of the highest-quality.
This individual will also support the Corporate Talent Acquisition team and assist with recruiting activities for current administrative contracts at the Department of Transportation. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal communication and organizational skills to effectively meet the Client's recruiting needs in a timely manner. Prioritizing work and effectively communicating with team members will be necessary to successfully complete assignments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating and updating internal graphics for proposals, powerpoint presentations (both internal and external), interview support materials such as leave-behinds and display boards, corporate cut sheets, and process and organizational team charts.
Collaborate with corporate staff in the development of graphics and collateral pieces, ensuring that information is communicated clearly, accurately, in a visually appealing manner and in alignment with Unispec’s overall brand.
Provide graphic and logistical support for events including outreach activities, employee events, award ceremonies, and a number of internal programs (e.g. annual meeting, stakeholder meeting, etc).
Provide writing support to the proposal capture team.
Support the corporate Talent Acquisition team with identifying, pursuing and acquiring new talent and continuing to assist throughout the talent acquisition lifecycle.
A Bachelors degree preferably in Mass Communication, Graphic Design or Advertising
Must have demonstrated knowledge and intermediate to advanced experience in Adobe Creative Suite with concentration in Adobe Illustrator
Experience with visual communications between 0-1 years
Experience with recruiting is preferred, but not required
Must have interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
Strong organizational skills and highly detail-oriented
Must be ambitious and eager to learn
