Description

Nickerson is seeking a highly motivated and talented graphic designer interns to join our creative department. The ideal candidates will assist the team in developing high quality print and digital collateral for internal and client based campaigns. The designers will report to the Managing Director of Creative Services. You will be responsible for the assistance in development, maintenance and implementation of various graphic-focused print and digital projects.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and improve client and internal sites
• Work with creative team to create pixel perfect sites based off Photoshop mockups
• Interact with all departments working with the client to perfect content
• Domain name and hosting package maintenance
• Create Back up schedules
• Write user manuals for clients

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• Advanced knowledge of content management systems CMS (we mostly use WordPress)
• Understanding of jQuery, JavaScript and PHP
• Time Management - the ability to balance multiple projects at once and hit deadlines
• Ability to write clean code that is easy to maintain
• An understanding of MailChimp and how it can be integrated
• An understanding of API's is a plus


This position is available year-round. Both part-time and full-time applicants are accepted. This internship can be applied towards course credit.
