Unity Healing Arts is locally owned and operated massage therapy studio 1 mile from downtown Asheville. UHA strives to provide a superior level of complete customer care to the clients who choose us for their massage therapy. We aim to provide a higher level of therapeutic care to our clients than our competitors by employing a small team of highly advanced trained therapists. We also provide our therapists with the freedom and compensation that they need continue to grow and thrive as therapists. Our clients benefit from our skilled staff, our nurturing environment, easily accessible and historic location off of Montford Ave, and of course our attention to excellence in customer service.

Unity Healing Arts offers a wide range of massage and bodywork treatments. Our therapists are highly trained and can offer a wide range of modalities in their sessions. We provide Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Sports Massage, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Reflexology and more.

Unity Healing Arts provides internship opportunities to people of all levels and disciplines. We look for 10 hours+ a month for 12 weeks of commitment. More is always welcome. This is an unpaid position with opportunities to receive massage and bodywork as a token of our gratitude. For example- two massages a month depending on treatment choice can value $180. At $14 an hour this would be 13 hour a month commitment.

Learn about all systems of small business management from a small business owner such as: office management, accounting, marketing, sales, systems management, customer service, employee management, and more.


Interns will be responsible for assisting in a variety of tasks that relate to all aspects of a functioning small business. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about office management, accounting, marketing, sales, systems management, customer service, employee management, and more.

Examples of tasks include:
Creating plans of office tasks and responsibilities for staff.
Learning and using an online reservation system.
Website design and conversion optimization.
Social media marketing
Meeting potential business partners and establishing strategic partnerships.
Reviewing financial information, budget planning.
Public relations.
Event planning.


You have excellent communication skills
You love being organized and efficient with systems
You have a refined eye for detail and a job well-done
You are good at finding creative solutions and have an enthusiastic attitude
You have transportation and are willing to travel a small amount of miles around Asheville to meet with potential clients and business partners, and attend to some of the aspects of business management that do not take place on site of the establishment.
