DescriptionHealth Management Program intern needed at the Housing Authority of Winston Salem beginning immediately. The Housing Authority will be launching its first health management program in June of this year. Two interns are needed to assist with research, planning and coordination of the program.
HMP interns are responsible for managing, planning, implementing and evaluating comprehensive health/dental, environmental safety and nutrition programs for employees and their families enrolled in our cafeteria health plan. This position involves extensive record keeping, organizing, problem solving and time management. Extensive interaction with our staff is also required.
ResponsibilitiesEnsures that all enrolled employees are up-to-date on a schedule of age appropriate preventive and primary health care goals.
In collaboration with Human Resources, develop a written health management plan to that identifies health, dental, emergency and nutrition service resources within the community; ensures all these services are included in the Company Resource Directory.
Assists with planning and coordinating company-wide health management meetings and activities on a monthly basis.
Maintains detailed, accurate, up-to-date and confidential records by monitoring the ongoing health status of each employee.
Assists Program Coordinator as needed.
RequirementsMust be pursuing a degree in Healthcare Management, Business Management, Medical Administration or a related field.
