•First, so you know what users you'll be chatting with will go through, enroll in and complete an introductory program designed to teach users proven strategies to overcome their challenges.
•Second, complete our proprietary iPrevail Peer Training Program, equipping you with best practices and empowering you as a Trained Peer Specialist.
•Third, commit to a minimum schedule, and then start logging in and sharing your knowledge/ helping those behind you.
•Fourth, work with our team (virtually) to help build our platform.
In this internship you will join our community of Trained Peers and help lead the charge to improved mental wellness! Users who feel down, anxious or depressed will enter chat with you hoping to anonymously talk about the challenges they are facing. And don't worry, we will give you pointers on chatting strategies so you'll feel comfortable helping others through their issues. Please note that you will NOT be providing psychotherapy or clinical services. Overall, you will be working to contribute to our community and helping us reach more people everyday.
Requirements1. Passion for empathy, listening, and supporting others with whatever life sends their way
2. Degree/In progress in related field (psychology, health science, public health, etc.) and/or related training
3. Participate in clinically-proven Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment
4. Complete, at minimum, 5 levels of rigorous Peer training; more levels to come with advanced Peer roles
5. Training and testing on our proprietary Support Dashboard
