Join our local health agency as we fight lung disease in all its forms and work with our local communities to protect lung health. As part of the agency’s effort to promote community health, we are looking for a Program Intern to assist our program staff. The programs involved are asthma, environmental health, anti-tobacco, lung disease, and community outreach.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist with the coordination of the agency programs and projects
• Participate in the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers
• Assist with the coordination and evaluation of classes and presentations
• Participate in health education to adults and students
• Develop outreach targets for health education materials
• Assist staff with identifying volunteer jobs
• Assist with the completion of reports
• Maintain program calendar in the community and industry

• Interest in health education
• Excellent communications skills
• Non-smoker
• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student
• Bilingual skills a plus

• Health agency experience
• Academic credit
• Making a difference in the community
• Develop reference for future employment

Hours: 10 – 20 hours weekly
(Hours are negotiable with Program Director approval)

Internship is unpaid. School credit is available.
