DescriptionThe Fischer Institute is a physical therapy and athletic performance center located in Phoenix Arizona. We are currently looking for qualified interns to assist with implementing our 2016 NFL Combine Football camp . This camp runs from the start of January 2017 until end of March 20167. Applicant must be in pursuant of a career in Strength & Conditioning/Sports Performance or already have one.
Responsibilities-Prepare to become knowledgable in all aspects of Sports Performance.
-Understand and be able to practice functional athletic performance.
-Review your schedule for the next day and prepare for our program before the day starts.
-Continuously discuss with CIs about athletes progress and overall periodized plan.
-Complete necessary documents in a timely manner.
-Try to maximize time available with athletes even when they are doing established exercises (asses, encourage, correct).
-Take initiative for your tasks (communicating with PT's and AT's upon athlete's arrival, acknowledge and encourage athletes through entire time at Fischer)
-Contribute to other staff members to become a better team.
-Communicate with CIs and other staff members in a timely manner.
-Become better instructors and be able to establish great rapport and trust with the athletes.
-Learn from every staff member (PT, AT, coaches, techs, front desk, other students, etc.)
-Fully utilize time to maximize learning experience, including outside of patient and athlete care (DVD's, chart reviews, discussions, etc.).
-Show respect for our staff and facilities (use your common sense)
-Continue to learn and grow.
