APPex: Advanced Practice Provider Executives
DescriptionAPPex is a not-for-profit membership organization and professional network for healthcare administrators, executives and leaders in advanced practice nursing/medicine that provides resources, support and consulting services to clinicians, hospitals and other healthcare institutions. Our mission, vision and values focus intently on Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs)--inclusive of Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs)--and Physician Assistants (PAs; PA-Cs) are all considered APPs.
Core resources include: member directory & discussion forums, continuing education (narrated presentations & live courses), academic literature & publications, document sharing, conference information & event registration, orientation program, post-graduate fellowship programs and consulting services. APPex also provides resources for job recruiters/seekers and corporate sponsors.
ResponsibilitiesAs a non-profit company, APPex relies on sponsors in the healthcare community and beyond to support its mission of providing key services, support and tools to hospital executives, administrative & managerial clinicians and front-line practicing Advanced Practice Providers (APPs): PAs, NPs, CNMs, CRNAs and/or CNSs.
Sponsors can offer any amount of financial support to APPex and its operations. Additional sponsor recognition and benefits begin at the bronze ($2,500), silver ($5,000) and gold ($10,000+) levels. Sponsors may offer generalized financial contributions to the organization, or, may support a specific resources that APPex supplies. For example, a sponsor can directly support a conference, an APP Grand Rounds presentation or a particular Continuing Education (CE) video/presentation.
90% of sponsors’ financial contribution goes directly into the organization and its resources; APPex Associates/Interns are rewarded with 10% of any funding obtained from sponsors.
RequirementsEducation: pursing undergraduate or graduate degree; fields of healthcare, public health, nursing, medicine, business, education, marketing or sales
Experience: healthcare exposure or experience preferred
