DescriptionLifeline Companion Services was established in 2005 as a non-medical home care agency specializing in caring for seniors and the disabled who choose to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. Our staff consists of professional caregivers, Certified Nurses Aides, Home Health Aides, Medical Assistants and Companions. The level of care ranges from companionship through hospice care. The agency specializes in Parkinson's, Dementia and Alzheimer's care and provides resources and education to families and the communities where it conducts is business.
Agency is expanding marketing activities and will be considering a transition from internship to permanent position.
We are seeking an intern to assist with marketing the agency's services to healthcare professionals including, but not limited to, physicians, geriatric specialists, hospitals, dialysis centers, networking groups, conferences and at industry events,
This internship is available immediately.
ResponsibilitiesTasks required include:
Creating lists of potential referral resources that would be interested in learning about home care services
Contacting potential referral resources and scheduling meetings with principles of the agency. Intern to attend those meetings as well.
Set up social media blog, LinkedIn, Facebook page, etc. with updates of agency activities and to promote services.
Attend healthcare networking meetings whenever possible.
Assist Human Resource Manager and Staffing Manager with small projects as required.
RequirementsMust possess a take charge personality, be innovative and comfortable speaking in front of small groups.
Coursework in marketing, communications, sales, human resources, and/or business management a plus.
Social media experience is a plus. Goal is to create awareness of the issues facing families caring for aging parents and spouses on a more global level.
Internship is based on a part time basis - approximately 20 hours per week. Schedule is flexible.
