Description

Want to help vulnerable people right in your own community? Project Pixie Project Pixie was created in December 2015 with the goal of engaging the community to provide donations of feminine care products for underprivileged women and girls, ensuring that all women have access to clean periods regardless of financial circumstances. Our mission is to ensure that underprivileged girls and women have access to feminine care products and we do so by engaging in direct street outreach and through partnerships with organizations who also provide services for this demographic. While our goal is to eventually fill this gap in communities throughout the country, we are starting this initiative in the greater Philadelphia area and Union County, NJ.

We are currently seeking a Non-Profit Administration Intern to assist with special projects and events, as well as general administration (fundraising, creating outreach mailings, assisting with grant-writing, etc...). This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking real-world experience in all aspects of grass roots, non-profit organization. Interns will work directly with staff, volunteers, and other social service organizations under the guidance of our foundation's Executive Director.

The ideal candidate is a dedicated, enthusiastic individual who can commit to working 15 – 20 hours per week for a SIX MONTH commitment. For the mature & responsible candidate, hours are flexible around your schedule and after the first two months, half of them can be completed with greater flexibility.

You must have your own highly functioning laptop and reliable internet connection. Although working in the area is preferred, it is not required – the right candidate may work remotely.

This is a unique opportunity to work in an innovative, rapidly growing community-based organization, gain and improve skills, and gain experience working in collaboration with others.
