DescriptionThe internship would involve learning all aspects of functional medicine including but not limited to blood chemistry, physical exams, testing, apply kinesiology, bodywork and physical therapy's. Acupressure, acupuncture philosophy as well as applied kinesiology, physical exams, neurological an orthopedic exams will be taught. The intern should be comfortable working with patients of all ages and all complexities. They would need to be extremely enthusiastic about helping and healing patients. Additionally the intern would need to do advanced nutrition, brain training, muscle testing and neural feedback within the clinic setting. The intern would also need to be comfortable learning some bodywork including Neuro musculoskeletal therapy and trigger point therapies.
ResponsibilitiesBecome a patient advocate, assistant doctors notes, assist the physician in all activities, learn to do neural feedback, study on your own and discuss with the staff . Communicate patient plans and their responsibilities in their health outcome. Within a reasonable period of time the intern should be able to handle all positions front desk, therapies, treatments, nutritional explanations even reports able to explain methylation cycles, leaky gut, brain training and factors in the functional model.
RequirementsRequirements at least three years of college with a 3.0 or above GPA high aptitude in the sciences biology, psychology and chemistry background. Experience in some sort of healthcare setting where they made a difference in the restoration of the patients health. They must have a desire to make a difference in the world one person at a time and love the process. Being outgoing and able to lead people, and always willing to learn and share show initiative, able to learn on their own, and exhibit empathy compassion, Love, and respect.
