DescriptionThis opening is for the dynamic role of a neurofeedback intern. This individual should be strong in technological skills, readiness to learn, and have an interest in and ability to work with clients who are receiving mental health services, and neurofeedback and biofeedback in particular. The individual may be trained on the administration and evaluation of biofeedback and neurofeedback, and will work under the direction of a clinical mental health professional. Clients are adults with varies psychological conditions such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Insomnia, Learning Disorders , PTSD, and Brain Injury.
ResponsibilitiesAdminister qEEG and proper recording of data
Support mental health professionals in administrative duties
Preparation and sterilization of equipment
Consults with supervisors and staff as needed
RequirementsEnrolled in psychology undergraduate or graduate program
Experience in a health care setting, preferably substance abuse treatment facilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse groups of individuals at all levels of the community
Perform well in environment that values compassion, helpfulness, patience, and resourcefulness
Remain non-judgmental and exercise independent judgment and prudence in dealing with sensitive, confidential matters. Maintain strict confidentiality, and demonstrate the ability to treat sensitive or confidential information appropriately
