DescriptionDr. Kara Fitzgerald ND is a functional medicine physician with a busy clinic, an growing online platform delivering content and services to a fast-growing audience of healthcare professionals and consumers. Functional medicine integrates both conventional as well as dietary and lifestyle interventions that provide the best environment for optimal health.
There is a great deal of opportunity to provide social media support to this booming area of healthcare. This would be a great starting point to work with any number of similar healthcare professionals who are expanding their online presence.
This internship is unpaid for 3 months, with potential to move into a paid part-time position afterwards, subject to review and approval. Estimated 15 hours per week, more if willing. All work to be conducted remotely; there is no need for travel to the office.
ResponsibilitiesCreating posts for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media channels
Monitoring social media channels and website for comments and questions
Managing online engagement to drive traffic to the site and email sign ups
Coordinating responses to comments and questions
Use of Hootsuite, Google Calendar, and other social media management tools
RequirementsSocial media degree or professional certificate, or working towards either.
Some level of social media experience, although this need not be professional.
Strong interest in healthy eating, healthy living, disease prevention and addressing chronic diseases.
