Description

Homestead Hospice is a premier provider of palliative care to support patients and their loved ones during the final phase of a terminal illness. We focus on quality of life rather than a cure. Our purpose is to provide comfort and give support to patients and the families during "life's most important journey". We neither seek to end or prolong life, but to ease the pain and discomfort so that our patients can live the remainder of their lives with dignity. We not only provide medical care, but spiritual and emotional support as well. Our psychology interns will have direct patient/family contact. They will be able to observe family dynamics, assist in offering companionship, comfort and emotional support to both patients and family members, learn active listening skills and shadow members of our team such as nurses, chaplains and social workers. (Our office covers 16 counties in Middle Georgia) homesteadhospice.com
