DescriptionWe are a newly established full service, home based travel agency, preparing to launch. We book hotels, cruises, tours, and special events. We specialize in many areas such as small groups and destination weddings.
We are looking for a dependable Virtual Office Assistant Intern for administrative support, willing to work with a brand new company, from the ground up. Hours: 5-18 hours a week - flexible based on agreed commitment level. This position provides the unique opportunity to learn about the travel agency industry, develop yourself and your skills.
Only serious applicants need apply. This is an UNPAID position, however with the right fit, may lead into a full or part time position(s) as a Sub-Contractor (Travel Consultant); COMMISSION ONLY.
Responsibilities-- Operate a personal computer to draft basic correspondence, enter data
-- Use the internet for email and research
-- Create office documents; event flyers (PDF files, etc)
-- Establish best new business practices and procedures
-- Assist with Event Planning; Social Media; Light Sales; Brainstorming
-- Performs a variety of routine typing assignments as appropriate to the position
RequirementsTo be successful in this position, the intern must be able to
-- Provide contact number and best time available for phone interview with your resume
-- Earn credits by being enrolled in school intern program (provide proof)
-- Very detailed oriented; able to edit own work before task is completed and turned in
-- Work independently and efficiently
-- Highly focused and results-oriented in supporting deadline-driven operations

-- Possesses good written and verbal communication skills
-- Strong analytical, negotiation, and organization skills

-- Adobe Photoshop and/or MS Paint experience and software (a plus)
