DescriptionOur seasonal resort is a historic country inn with Bed & Breakfast, Restaurant & Museum located next to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. We hire 35-40 college students as summer staff during our tourist season May through mid October. We need only service oriented, hard workers who will enjoy our mountain setting with its opportunities for exploring the great outdoors.
Responsible for all front of house operations: to include guest satisfaction, quality standards, and staff training & scheduling. Accountable for all cash/credit card transactions and daily reports. Housekeeper supervisor and Gift Shop inventory management. Must be people person, computer literate, with excellent communication skills. As an internship, this management position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in each lodging, restaurant and attractions segments of the tourism industry.
May 15 – October 15 48 hr per week, 6 days per week
Starting compensation = Room & Board + monthly Salary

ResponsibilitiesOversee all front of house operations for B&B and Museum.
Ensure highest quality of service is provided to all our guests.
Ensure each employee is treated with respect and all possible fairness.
Maintain operations consistent with written procedures as established in Hotel Manager’s Position Guide.
Responsible for all Housekeeping and Maintenance in common & guest rooms.
Responsible for proper accounting of all cash/credit transactions.
Immediately address all B&B and museum customer service issues.
Coordinate with co-managers to schedule and evaluate all staff.
Maintain inventory and prepare purchase orders for Gift Shop items.
Monitor all relevant social media resources, customer feedback and surveys.
Keep owner up to date with operations, issues and concerns.
RequirementsMust exhibit an appropriate attitude of hospitality with all clientele.
Must be able to effectively communicate with Lois and to subordinates & peers.
Must be honest.
Must be able to read and follow directions.
Must be familiar with basic computer use.
Must be able to stand at work for up to 4 hours.
Must be able to understand and maintain basic cash procedures, accounting and inventory records.
Notes: It is to be understood that you will follow set procedures in detail. We have very specific high quality standards that must be maintained at all times.
A clean neat appearance is required at all times.
Lateness is not tolerated.
The use of illegal drugs or alcohol on duty will be grounds for immediate dismissal. Baldpate Inn is a non-smoking facility for both staff and guests.
Marijuana, possession of and or use of, is prohibited at The Baldpate Inn.
Smoking or consuming marijuana-based products is, and will continue to be, illegal in public spaces in Colorado, including Estes Park. Smoking or consumption of marijuana-based products is not legal in any dining, drinking or retail establishment.
Possession and use of marijuana continues to be illegal in Rocky Mountain National Park and all federal lands.
Given the ban of marijuana establishments in our community and the laws against public consumption, guests of the Baldpate Inn should expect the same, family-friendly guest experience they have come to love in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park
