DescriptionStan Hywet Hall is a 65-room Tudor Revival mansion built between 1912-1915 by F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. The Seiberling family lived on their American Country Estate for 40 years and Stan Hywet became a museum in 1957. This accredited historic house museum gives guests a glimpse into the daily life of a wealthy entrepreneur and his family during the Industrial Age.
The Tour Services department is responsible for the overall visitor experience within the museum which includes tour research, development and implementation; educational interpretive trainings; staff and volunteer recruitment and training; and guest experience enhancement programs. In addition, Tour Services manages the group sales department which includes managing the solicitation, reservations, logistics and accommodation of motor coaches, group and school groups.
Tour Services interns assist with special projects designed to benefit the department goals for research and tour development; creating educational learning tools to support interpretive trainings; and support marketing efforts to expand the group tour business.
Responsibilities-Taking calls for the Group Sales department.
-Making reservations for groups.
-Soliciting tour operators.
-Researching trends in the tourism industry.
-Marketing and social media opportunities.
Requirements-Computer literacy (Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
-Course work in Hospitality Management or Travel Management.
-Research and writing skills.
-Excellent customer service skills
