Description

Restaurant group with 5 Restaurants in Boston Metroplex looking for Catering Manager.

Responsibilities

The Catering Manager oversees all aspects of the catering business, including client relationships, order booking and logistics, and food production and delivery. The Catering Manager also oversees business development and marketing for catering, including developing new products and operating systems, and producing collateral.

*Will require some nighttime and weekend availability
*Some cold-calling necessary
*Travel between sites
*ServSafe certification, Food Allergen Awareness (general food service experience required) (Can be done with company after onboarding)

Requirements

-Catering Marketing and Business Development
-Seek new clients and new types of business
-Work with the Marketing Specialist to create materials specific to catering
-Refine our offerings and develop new products
-Maximizing sales and meeting profit and financial expectations
-Keeping track of trends and developments in the industry
-Planning new promotions and initiatives
-Responsible for the appearance of booth and staff at tabling events

Client Interaction_________
-Receive and negotiate orders
-Negotiating contracts with customers, assessing their requirements, and ensuring they are satisfied with service delivered
-Maintaining client database and longer-term interactions
-Invoicing

Logistics / Operations___________
-Communicate effectively with the commissary to ensure catering has all materials
-Determine scheduling needs for catering and work with location managers to ensure that there is adequate staffing
-Work with the Operations Manager to coordinate deliveries
-Manage a staff of Catering Assistants by providing training and support to ensure that orders are made accurately and delivered on time within food safety parameters
-Manage supervisors for events to ensure they are well-prepared
-Maintain administrative records and inventory
-Ensuring compliance with all fire, licensing, and employment regulations
-Oversee the management of facilities

Food Production________
-Monitor quality standards
-Create systems for catering food production across locations
-Key Evaluation Criteria
-Catering business performance: revenue growth, manage staffing levels, and food costs
-Employee development: develop employees who advance within this or other areas of the business
-Company development: build new products, operating systems, and client relationships
-Communication: improve communication across all of the business units
