Description

Shanty Creek Resorts is located 30 minutes northeast of Traverse City, features three distinct villages, four championship golf courses and 55 ski runs on two mountains within its 4,500 acres. The four-season destination features 450 rooms, a spa and fitness center, a wide variety of dining and entertainment options and 36,000 square feet of event and meeting space. As an intern you will not only be able to enjoy this beautiful area, but also learn about Restaurant Management in the process.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:
Responsible for F&B service at assigned outlet during scheduled shift. Assist with training and supervision of staff. Maintain comfort and ambiance of outlet and follow all posted cleaning schedules. Responsible for greeting and seating of guests utilizing guest recognition tools per SCR F & B standards of service. Assumes cashier responsibilities and ensures cleanliness of restaurant.

Will also be responsible for attending Internship meetings and completion of Internship class project.

Requirements

Professional Experience:
A minimum of six months related experience and/or training in a high volume F & B operation is preferred.

Education:
Enrolled in college course work related to Hospitality/Food & Beverage.

Required Skills:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• TAM, Servsafe, and/or TiPS certification is preferred.
