Fair Hills Resort is a family vacation destination and convention center. Owned and operated by the Kaldahl family since 1926, this beautiful lake resort and its other properties offer a unique venue for events of all kinds and family reunions. Open seasonally from May through the beginning of October, Fair Hills hosts over 50 events each year, 10 weeks of family season vacations and serves hundreds of meals each day. These exciting properties offer opportunities to gain experience in multiple divisions of multiple industries.

This exciting internship will focus on one of the most integral departments in any Hotel, Resort or Restaurant: the Dishwashing Department. Without this necessary department, a whole kitchen and food & beverage service can come to a crashing halt. This internship will focus on running the dishwashing department and assisting the overall flow of the kitchen and is geared toward a college student pursing a degree in the culinary arts or Hospitality & Tourism Management, specifically with a restaurant management focus. The student will report directly to both the Food & Beverage Director and Head Chef. The intern will oversee all the dishwashers and dish ware, drink ware and pots & pan inventory. The intern will also assist in coordinating all off-site catering inventory; transportation, loading & tracking. The intern will be in charge of scheduling the staff of dishwashers, supervising shifts, enforcing company & department policies & rules and keeping the pace of the department. Occasionally intern will assist the kitchen with any prep work that might need to be done for large functions. This internship will provide an emphasis on the following skills: scheduling, managing inventories, organizing logistics for off-site events and staff supervision.

Applicant Requirements
• Internship must be related to your area of study in school
• Fair Hills Internships must be able to work, at least, the 10 weeks of Family Season
• Wildflower Internships must be able to work from beginning of June through the end of August - preference is given to those who can stay later
• Must be able to work weekends, weekdays and holidays as needed
• Must be able to work day or evening shifts – weekly schedules are subject to change
