DescriptionThis individual will work closely with the HR Coordinator with the development of paperwork, employee packets, and state/federal required documents. This is a remote position and does not require that the intern come into our Dallas office. Hours are flexible; however, being able to work well alone is mandatory. This person will learn to assist with maintaining a corporate HR database. Assist with recruiting and interviewing prospective interns and assist with the development of intern training materials.
Responsibilities-Work Closely with the HR Coordinator to maintain the HR database
-Develop Paperwork, Employee Packets & State/Federal Required Documents
-Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize projects and timeliness is critical
-Assist with recruiting process (locating candidates, sending out initial emails, follow up with candidates, initial interview of all prospective candidates)
-Develop reports on initial interview and turn them in to the HR Coordinator
-Assist in developing intern training programs, processes & materials
-Assist in writing/distributing company policies & procedures
-Attend all weekly conference calls
-All other duties as assigned by the HR Coordinator or Project Manager
Requirements-College Sophomore Level or Higher (High school diploma already acquired)
-Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or closely related field preferred
-Ability to maintain the highest confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities
-Excellent oral and written communication skills with college courses taken in Communication & Writing (English 101 or Equivalent)
-Highly organized with a high level of attention to detail
-Proficient computer skills with a college course taken in Computer Applications or Microsoft Office Products or similar (must know how to use word processing, ppt, excel)
-Proven people skills
-Cooperative Team Oriented Attitude
-Ability to work at least 2 hours daily M-F between 9 A.M. -6 P.M. CST.
-Ability to attend at least one weekly conference call (usually around 5:00 P.M.)
-Ability to work in a 100% remote environment with no face to face interaction
-Ability to receive directions through telephone call, email, instant message, or a database and execute them proficiently
-Friendly & Professional
-2 years of general business experience through employment/volunteer work/internship
-4 references, one college instructor, one advisor/counselor, one former manager, one of your preference (if no prior work experience 5 references will be required 1 advisor/counselor, 2 professors, 2 personal)
