Spirit of the Position: The Ambassador needs to be a proactive individual with strong interest in staffing functions. Position responsibilities include assisting the Human Resource Department with employee recruitment, coordination of new staff hiring, and administration of employee follow-up at day 30 after employment starts. It is expected that the Ambassador will contribute to the overall Recruiting program by providing feedback on current practices and ideas for future development. The Ambassador will receive goals assigned by the Hiring Manager and will be responsible for meeting such goals.
TIME COMMITMENT: The Ambassador will work a variety of different hours depending on the time of the year and if a hiring period is scheduled, but s/he can expect to work 20-25 hours in a typical week.
New Employee Hiring
1. Assist with recruitment strategies and events for employment.
2. On-Campus recruiting and interaction with student activities departments for visibility.
3. Staff Information and Orientation sessions as needed.
4. 30-day new hire follow up
1. Filling and other office support as it relates to the on-boarding process of Ambassador Recruits
2. Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS: Ability to be highly organized and have excellent planning skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with diverse populations and familiarity with various campus departments. Self-starter and self-motivator.
