This wonderful internship opportunity will teach the intern how to:
Set up an internship program; create an internship orientation and welcome process; interview other interns or employees; database resumes and potential candidates. The ideal candidate will also recruit and screen candidates; create job descriptions, post jobs online and offline, schedule interviews, create offer packages, formalize company policies and procedures, create or update the company handbook, and create and conduct employee satisfaction surveys. The internship is 100% virtual. You will work from home (or school, or Starbucks, or the library…or wherever). You can work anywhere as long as you have reliable internet connection and a quiet area for Skype and/or phone meetings. This is an unpaid internship, but the experience is priceless!
The intern will learn recruiting, creating an internship program and orientation, and numerous other skills. This is a great internship especially for HR majors to be able to apply the information and knowledge from their coursework. Organized, detail-oriented, dependable, people skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills; adaptable to changes in projects and priorities, comfort and proficiency with email, the Internet, and learning user-friendly software; able to multi-task and work independently; punctual, and able to attend phone or Skype meetings occasionally.
We are looking for an outgoing, dependable, and motivated intern. If you feel you are all three of these, please reach out me! As our Intern, you will be constantly challenged; we don’t expect you to know everything! Applicants with prior educational and/or work experience in Human Resources are preferred.
