We have an internship opportunity in our Human Resources Department. This is a "nonpaid" internship. The selected Intern will perform duties under the supervision of the HR Director. Seraaj Family Homes, Inc. has a goal to ensure the Intern learns valuable information and skills pertaining to their field of study and the Agency.
ResponsibilitiesSome of the daily tasks the selected Intern will be expected to completed are as follows (not all-inclusive):
Update various electronic tracking reports, perform research on assigned topics and assist in curriculum development, file documents, assist with the coordination of HR training events, and assist with other duties as assigned.
The working hours may be up to 20 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends. (Weekends are not required every week, only as needed for special events or projects). The Intern may be asked to perform duties virtually when needed, in which the intern must have access to needed technology to complete assignments offsite.
RequirementsPreference will be given to students majoring in Human Resources. The selected candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's HR program. This position is an entry-level position. A grade point average of at least 3.0 is preferred. School transcript may be requested.
The selected intern must be very proficient with Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, some Access experience), experience with; have experience working with video conferencing tools or be willing to learn (Go-To-Meeting, Microsoft Lync); be willing to participate in internal and external meetings, as well as video conferencing meetings, that may be recorded for quality improvement purposes and to show internal staff and external customers; web design or editing experience is a plus.
