Description

The Palm Beach zoo volunteer office is offering a NEW and exciting internship opportunity in the field of Volunteer Services and Human Resources. The volunteer office has grown tremendously this past year from 32 active volunteers to 200, and with one time volunteers saw a total of 473 volunteers last year. With this recent growth, came transformation of the volunteer office as a whole. We transformed the old hospital into the volunteer headquarters with a new intern office, manager’s office and volunteer break room. We are looking forward to year 2 of the volunteer program and growth! This internship will work alongside our volunteer services manager to help gain experience on the role of human resources.

Interns will have the opportunity to:
- Learn how to use volunteer management systems like volgistics
- Help develop year two of the Youth Volunteer Corps
- Develop skills to help with retention and recruitment
- Learn about retention programs
- Learn the HR side of unpaid employees
