DescriptionHuman Resource is a vital aspect of our mission’s success and impact. The Human Resource team is responsible for recruitment, training & development, performance evaluation, internal communications and HR System maintenance. This internship requires not only hard work but also an extreme passion for the mission of Project Footsteps.
Supervisor(s): Director of Business and Operations
Hours: Flexible, 15-20 hours/week
Project Footsteps is a non-profit organization that serves to inspire, empower and prepare young people to be agents of change and become social leaders within their schools, communities and organizations. Since 2008 we have provided youth driven program experiences both long-term and introductory level that have inspired thousands of students to become leaders in action.

• A self-starter with a strong desire to learn. Strong commitment to young people and an understanding of factors affecting their lives
• The ability to provide reliable support to young people in times of stress and act with integrity
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Patience, curiosity and flexibility; a sense of adventure and a willingness to try new things
• Formal communication skills for presentations and report writing
RequirementsDuties include, but are not limited to:
--Develop seasonal staff appreciation party/event
--Develop creative ways to appreciate staff throughout the year on an ongoing basis
--Recruit, interview and train new staff
--Facilitate programs if/when needed
--Coordinate program staffing
--Organize production manifest prior to all-staff meeting
--Track time-off/office hour adjustment procedures
--Organize department meeting “kick-back” and integrate it into the team appropriately
--Address violations of office standards
--Conduct staff evaluations and acquire feedback on their experience
--Managing human resource tracking systems

--Organize and manage reimbursement
--Actively recruit potential organizational volunteers
--Serve as volunteer coordinator
--Placing volunteers according to their interests
--Actively recruit potential organizational facilitators

--Coordinating recruitment campaigns/events/stunts/etc to attract more potential employees and volunteers
--Organize and conduct tryouts and interviews for potential staff
