The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Trakwogen HR team. In addition to keeping our offices organized, you will gain valuable HR experience, helping with new hire onboarding, benefits administration, filing, and assorted HR tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail. Work on a boat in a fun environment! Benefit package includes free parking and free passes for Trakwogen cruises!
Responsibilities*Maintain employee files, benefit files, I9 files and EVerify results
*Ensure accuracy and timely updates of employee database
*Assist with workers compensation filings and updates
*Coordinate random drug testing in accordance with Coast Guard standards
*Assist with benefits administration including enrollments, notices, COBRA
*Maintain employee files and records
*Provide general administrative assistance to HR team, including supply inventory
*Provide backup support to payroll manager
*Provide occasional backup to reception
RequirementsHigh school diploma required; college degree desirable
One year experience in administrative assistant role in an office environment
Strong PC computer skills – MS Word/Excel, Gmail, Google Docs
Minimum typing speed 50 wpm
Successful working in a busy, fast-paced environment with lots of deadlines
Energy and enthusiasm to learn new things
