DescriptionBlackmore Partners Inc. is a new kind of advisory firm that partners with senior executives to build successful businesses and create unique opportunities to deploy capital for institutional investors.
As a Human Resource Intern, you will assist and ensure the efficient administration and management of all human resource endeavors, including hiring, recruiting, training, statutory compliance and other customary duties necessary to ensure ultimately a consistent business development. You will work closely with various departments in our company to ensure staff welfare and promote the policies and culture of BMP.
Our internships are UNPAID for 6 months and can be applied for credit if accepted by your university.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:
Assist the Director with the hiring process, including qualifying resumes, coordinating phone interviews, on-site interviews, Skype interviews
Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, employee performance measurement, disciplinary procedures and absence management.
Help to maintain departmental organization and filing standards
Prepare new hire materials and provide support for the New Associate Orientation process
Consult with the Director on Strategic Planning
Mediate disputes and advise on policies
Preparing employees by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
Perform job analysis and draft job descriptions according to company needs.
Develop and manage company culture
Assist with creating and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future positions
Assist with special projects as needed
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Interest in human resources and technology.
Fast learner, work well independently, and have a high attention to detail.
Enthusiastic to be a part of a small team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office
HR experience is a PLUS
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Understanding of finance is a PLUS
