DescriptionTo provide a student with a multi-faceted view of the Human Resources field in a Shared Services environment.
Talent Acquisition: Attracting, engaging and onboarding new talent into the agency and managing an Applicant Tracking System. The opportunity to be involved with hiring events and grass root marketing campaigns.
HR Operations: Interfacing with HRIS, total rewards, unemployment claims management, experience a Shared Service Call Center designed to answer first point of contact employment questions.
Organizational Learning, Development and Training: Projects may include implementation of a learning management system; researching leadership thought leaders; developing a competency library and supporting the new employee orientation process.
Talent Management: Opportunity to learn employee relations to service all levels of employees, and to be actively involved in the day to day workings of the HR Business Partner role. Projects will be assigned based on need, and may include job description reconfiguration, policy review and writing, EEOC hearing preparation and updates, Business Partner assistance, and other activities.
This opportunity is an unpaid internship and is to be a student looking to receive college credits as part of a Practicum requirement.
Ideally seeking interns for the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters.
RequirementsIdeal internship candidates will be actively working towards a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Human Resources Development, Leadership and Management, Industrial or Organizational Psychology.
