Ferrara Pan Candy Company began as a Chicago bakery in 1908. Once candy sales became greater than baked goods, the family began producing a variety of panned candies. In 2012, it merged with Farley & Sather's Candies to form Ferrara Candy Company. The company employs approximately 2700 employees and operates manufacturing plants in the US and Mexico.

Responsibilities

Primary Purpose
We are currently seeking an Intern to join our Human Resources team. The individual will support our Talent Acquisition Manager by providing administrative support through the recruiting process as well as complete special projects.

Major Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
 Assist in scheduling all phone and onsite candidate interviews
 Assist in drafting offer letters
 Meet and greet interviewees
 Confirm interviews and new hires
 Process pre-employment screenings
 Data implementation in our HRIS system
 Create, post, and monitor all current job vacancies
 Facilitate meetings for internship program
 Assist with other administrative duties as related to Talent Acquisition
 Assist with special HR projects as they arise
 Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
 Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values.
 Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
 Bachelor's degree, or working towards a degree
 Advanced experience with MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
 Avid user of social networking tools

Required - Microsoft Office, Time Management, Proj Management
Preferred - HR Generalist, Office Administration
