The position is Human Resources (Coop/Intern)
Good performance in 90 days will lead to paid fulltime or part time hire (your choice).
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include but are not limited to:
-Interview applicants' about their experience, education and skills.
-Contact references and perform background checks
-Inform Applicants' about job detail such as benefits and conditions
-recommend hire or refer qualified candidates
-Maintaining employees and job candidates files
Learning how to:
Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Administer compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
Administer benefit to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
Develop and maintain affirmative action program, maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Conduct recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career path programs, write and place advertisements.
Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Maintain Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from database.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
RequirementsRelated majors or interested applicants with nonrelated majors.
Personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
Students or Associates or Bachelor's degree or one to three years of Human Resources experience, OR Any similar combination of education and experience.
