Always be on the alert for potentially fraudulent job postings online - never send money to a potential employer.
DescriptionOne Mission Society unites in partnership with more than 180 organizations and denominations for one purpose: to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ spread throughout the world, with the greatest number of disciples made, and to see God glorified in all that we say and do — to help fulfill the Great Commission. This has been, is and always will be our One Mission.
Here's a look at One Mission Society by the numbers:
-Every 31 seconds, on average, someone comes to know the Lord through the ministries of One Mission Society.
-OMS-related ministries are carried out in more than 45 languages around the world.
-OMS ministry includes more than 14,000 indigenous coworkers.
-OMS plants more than 6,000 churches every year.
-OMS in an evangelical, interdenominational faith mission that has 30+ denominations represented within its missionary membership.
Our mission is succinctly defined by our mission statement:
By God's grace, One Mission Society unites, inspires and equips Christians to make disciples of Jesus Christ, multiplying dynamic communities of believers around the world.
ResponsibilitiesCome serve with the mobilization and training teams at OMS as you build relationships with and serve current and potential missionaries. Learn more about mobilization and missions in general as you help the mobilization team engage with interested applicants and accepted missionaries. Assist in event planning and preparations for training experiences, such as new missionary orientation and cross-cultural training. Shadow the training and development team to learn how OMS equips its missionaries and leaders.
This internship reports to the Directors of Mobilization and Training and is for approximately 10 weeks.
At One Mission Society, our internship program is carefully designed to be a catalyst toward a deeper understanding of God’s heart for the world and how we can make an impact on that world through Him. Because of the design of the internship, we are searching for Christ-centered individuals, especially those who are praying and giving serious consideration toward future cross-cultural ministry.
One Mission Society is a faith-based mission so our staff (including interns) raises 100% of their financial support to cover their salary and ministry expenses. Internships can be unpaid (volunteered) or paid (raise support, like for a mission trip). Free housing may be available for interns.
