Local nonprofit is seeking an HR Intern to assist with the daily operational functions. Internship requires at least 16 hours per week.

The HR Admin Intern will assist with volunteer recruitment, coordination of new intern hiring, and administration of staff documentation. Posting volunteer and intern ads on online , conducting background checks, preliminary phone interviews etc.
Work will include management volunteers and committees, data collection and analysis, and staff training and development. The intern will contribute to the overall program productiveness by providing feedback on current practices and ideas for future development.

Be a contributor at our conference meetings via online, learn to work as a team member within Human Resources, and working independently as an individual contributor.


The Recruiting/Human Resources Intern will provide administrative support in the recruiting cycle such as posting, sourcing, recruiting, prospecting, filing, data-entry.
- Assist the HR team with posting positions, accepting, processing, organizing, sourcing resumes, scheduling phone interviews, and conducting initial phone screenings.
- Participate in online college recruiting events to represent the company and identify potential candidates
- Taking incoming phones call through our virtual phone system, distribute emails, and set up volunteer training meetings including conference lines/ video conferences.
• Develop operations manual for all major office tasks and volunteer positions
• Develop volunteer handbook
• Develop accounting manual
• Develop handbook for virtual and classroom mentors
• Interview volunteer candidates and conduct appropriate background checks
• Provide training to new volunteers as necessary
- Perform searches using online resources, job boards, social networks, database and any other recruiting means and tools.
- Coordinate online marketing and advertising campaigns and update Web sites.
- Assist in any other recruitment related functions as necessary.
- Demonstrate discretion, integrity, fair-mindedness, and a persuasive, congenial personality


Education: Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or related field strongly preferred.
- Possess and exhibit a strong and genuine interest in working with people and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent team player
Some HR background is preferred
* Must be studying HR or business related degree
* Must be extremely internet savvy with Social Media & Networking sites
* Previous experience doing research on the web is a plus.
* Smart self-starter who takes initiative.
* Super organized and detail oriented.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* High energy, positive attitude.
* Strong computer skills – Outlook, Excel.
Applicants must be willing to devote a minimum of 4 months and 16 hours per week remotely.
