We are offering 2 part time, paid internships for immediate start. These are available for students in a Human Resources program of study and is ideal for students entering their senior year of college or recent graduates who to gain valuable experience. We are flexible to design a flexible schedule accommodating to students and of flexible duration, 1 semester, 1 year...We are a classified as a small, minority owned business and are a government contractor located in Landover, MD convenient to the New Carrollton Metro station.

Selected candidates will be exposed to all areas of Human Resources including:
•Employee Relations
•Onboarding and Off boarding
•Pre-screen candidates
•Background screenings
•Processing paperwork for security clearances
•Setting up new hire files and processing new hire paperwork

Most entry level positions in HR will only expose you to one or two aspects of the HR role. At the end of your internship with Systems Integration, you will have strong knowledge of most or all of these critical areas. You may also be tasked on special projects.


Each day will be different. You will be involved in open enrollment and entering employee benefit designations into the benefits database as well as updating the ADP payroll system with address changes, salary changes and benefit deductions. You will become experienced at setting up new hire files, onboarding new hires and conducting new hire orientations.

Learn to write and post job announcements, pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, process background investigation requests and help process paperwork for DoD security clearance investigation requests.

The HR Intern will also learn about employee relations, use their creativity to develop incentive programs and monitor training and development programs.

The HR Intern will learn how to recruit via LinkedIn Recruiter and conduction online candidate searches primarily in the IT sector.

Employee Off boarding will also be taught.

Interns will work under the direction and training of the HR Manager.

Qualified candidates will be currently enrolled in a program of study majoring in Human Resources or a recent graduate of such a program. Looking for approximately 20 hours per week and can be flexible to work around school schedule. Core hours are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday.
