Human Resource Internship

CoAdvantage has the oppportunity to mentor a Human Resource Student Intern!

This is an unpaid, learning experience where the student will learn multiple facets of HR to gain real life HR experience and knowledge. This internship is geared toward teaching the student HR experiences to then be able to earn a job in Human Resources.

The Intern will learn how to provide support to the Human Resources VP on all personnel matters, learn and administer human resources policies and procedures that cover two or more functional areas. Learn the proper way to construct an employee file, what is a nessecity and what must not be in one, also where and how important HR documents are kept. Learn about I9 documentations, new employee background checks, drug tests and assist in administering leaves. Other HR learning opprotunities as well!

Examples of duties that the Intern will experience and learn:

Helping maintain I-9 documentation files.
Preparing new hire packets.
Filing employee personnel papers and documentation as directed.
Assisting in setting up and maintaining employee personnel and benefit files.
Creating spreadsheets with human resource information.
Assisting in the performing of searches using online resources, job boards, social networks, database and any other recruiting means and tools.
Performing other human resource duties as assigned.

Requirements

One must be a student in Human Resources classes OR Majors in HR or Minors in HR.
