Human Resources Internship Program Description
We are currently accepting resumes for unpaid internships in our HR Department. This internship is designed to introduce practical experience in HR in combination with the many skills that are associated with a career in this field. This goal will be accomplished by working closely with our HR staff, under the supervision of a mentor. Regular evaluations, both formal and informal will allow for a productive and fun learning experience.
During the placement period you will experience all aspects of Human Resources, including but not limited to some of the following specialty areas: Recruitment & Selection, Employee Orientation, HR Administration, Health & Safety, Performance Management, HR Reporting & Research, Compensation & Benefits, Policies & Procedures, Employee Relations and Special Projects.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include project based work in one or more of the following areas: Recruitment & Selection, Employee Orientation, Employee Engagement, HR Administration, Health & Safety, Performance Management, HR Reporting, Compensation & Benefits, Policies & Procedures and/or Employee Relations.
RequirementsEducation: Applicants must be:
• currently enrolled in a human resources focused program at an academic institution, or,
• a recent graduate of a human resources focused program, and,
• intending to pursue a career in human resources
Skills: Applicants must have:
• intermediate level with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, familiarity with Access)
• familiarity with MS SharePoint would be desirable
Attitude: Applicants must be:
• personable, Outgoing, Positive, Independent, Helpful, Detail oriented, Diplomatic and Professional.
SkillsRequired - Phone Etiquette, Excellent interpersonal skills, Basic Computer Skills
