Description


The Human Resources & Recruitment Intern is responsible for recruiting our team and assisting the CEO and HR Manager in boosting team morale and managing the company’s team. The intern will aid in the hiring process by posting for positions on school platforms and career related websites, vetting incoming resumes and ensuring that databases are current and updated. This intern will have to have an understanding of each department to assure that other interns are working efficiently and comfortably in their role in the company. This intern will also research and contact consultants, freelancers and columnists who would want to be affiliated with the company. Finally this HR Intern will assist the CEO HR Manager in seeking out consulting and speaking opportunities that would raise her public profile.

Responsibilities

Ability to commit to working 6 hours per day 5 days week
Ability and interest in attending weekly meetings at our offices and the majority of other events (typically one evening and one daytime event per month)
Ability to work efficiently from home
Experience in management, administration, and/or project implementation is required
Interest/experience in the arts, arts administration, branding, advertising, strategic planning is preferred but not required
Aspiration to be part of an entrepreneurial and growing organization
Meticulous organization and time management skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Comfort with and/or willingness to learn basic Wordpress page programming
Key attributes: entrepreneurial, reliable, self-motivated, upbeat, people-person
Desire to contribute to the fun and optimism of the IDEASMYTH team

Requirements

Assisting the CEO and HR Manager in screening candidates to recruit a 10+ person team to carry on duties within company departments (Editorial, Social Media, Business Development, Video Editing, etc.)
Assisting CEO and HR Manager in the prescreening + interviewing process
Training and manage the intern team to create an efficient and inviting environment
Maintaining job postings across multiple school platforms and related websites
Organizing company’s virtual office and human resource files for interns and candidates via Google Drive
Assisting with company events by delegating duties to the team
Researching consultants, freelancers and columnists to work for Ideasmyth
Assisting with Midterm evaluations for interns and analysis of evaluation
