Description

Human Resources Achievement Program, Inc. (HRAP, Inc.) is an education & job training program designed to teach at-risk youths the professional lifestyle of Human Resources.

The Social Media Intern, reports to the Deputy Director of Communications. The Intern will assists with our social media marketing efforts. You will learn the ins and outs of our business and how to make social media a productive part of our overall communication plan. This internship is part time and an unpaid position. The social media intern will work directly below the Deputy Director of Communications.

Interns are expected to have experience with social media on (at least) a personal level (use on a business level preferred). You must be able to think strategically and see how to use social media to build long-lasting relationships within the community. Interns must be able to assist in formulating social media plans (once ample information is provided to you), and then carry them out (with our assistance). You must be able to measure and document the impact of social media, and then suggest action-steps to increase impact. They will help to increase the organizations visibility. The public relations/marketing intern will work directly below the Deputy Director of Communications. This internship is part time and an unpaid position. Duties might include any of the following responsibilities, as well as other, related unlisted duties.

Responsibilities

• Creating new profiles and pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
• Uploading videos, photo albums, etc.
• Finding users to follow/friend/like our business
• Writing and posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
• Tracking the growth and the impact of social media on our business
• Replying to comments, messages, etc.
• Report findings to the team
• Consistently learn and grow, ask pertinent questions
• Ability to create and upload Twitter & YouTube backgrounds, and minor video editing skills are a plus

Requirements

Must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college or university seeking a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or relevant degree program.
