New GateWay Solutions is a small Christ-centered nonprofit organization located in Chula Vista, California, that has been set up specifically to help the unemployed and underemployed return to sustainable employment. We offer several solutions for our growing clientele: Career Solutions, Business Startup Solutions, and Technology Solutions. Currently, we provide services for 14 employment seekers and 9 Startup businesses.

Training interns/Human Resources will monitor and manage all staff relations, set up interviews and provide ‘on-boarding’ services for all new hires. They will assist in the development of a portfolio of career training seminars and workshops for our startup businesses and, as needed, they will assist the Career Solutions Department in developing individualized career training plans aimed towards developing viable and sustainable employment of our program participants and New GateWay Staff.


 keep updated employee records
 follow through on agreements and contracts
 manage internal staff relations and resolve disputes and grievances
 maintain a safe and secure working environment
 recruit and select office staff
 prepare paperwork for hires and terminations
 conduct orientation and training of new staff members
 motivate, encourage, mentor and coach staff
 assign, monitor and assess staff
 manage performance including evaluations and feedback
 keep staff attendance reports
 monitor and record hours worked including overtime
 monitor vacation and sick leave
 establish, maintain and keep confidential employee personnel files
 research and implement benefits package for employees
 Assist in development of training manual for in-house use
 Develop seminars and workshops in the areas of marketing, administration, and leadership for start-up businesses
 Develop individualized training plans for career solutions program participants
 Deliver training at a workshop or seminar when the need arises
 Develop training for staff development
 any other tasks which may be assigned


 Have completed at least 1 year of college (preferred)
 Have access to reliable transportation
 Excellent writing, editing and research skills
 Ability to work in a flexible, fun, and strongly team-oriented environment
 Able to work independently and take initiative when necessary
 Must be able to prioritize, be dependable, and manage projects
 Strong organization and time management skills
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and desire to learn new software
