DescriptionThe Paint Technician primarily provides technical support for an automotive manufacturing supplier. The Paint Technician will work closely with the account manager in the development of customer service and growth strategies, presentations, statistics, and reports. Successful Paint Technician candidates will have the ability to work alone or in a team environment, be a self-starter and be mechanically inclined. The schedule is Monday through Friday and first shift is 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Pro-actively supports successful new equipment start up/shut down
Prioritizes and conducts physical tests on incoming materials supplied by our customer
Integrates with technical support and field technical support to answer customer queries
Troubleshoots ongoing technical concerns, and communicates current production results
Uses professional customer service skills
Continually improves customer satisfaction while improving the manufacturer's business performance
Uses technical equipment and computer skills to obtain and report results of the appearance and color data
Generates reports and presentations for the customer, and maintains reports to technical team
Uses resources including our customer's product, network of products and technologies to strategically improve our customer's reputation with the customer
Works effectively both individually and in a service team environment
Supports the delivery of value-added services
Anticipates and resolves customer technical issues in a responsive and effective manner
Monitors and manages inventory levels and material usage
Exercises and promotes all Abednego safety standards
Quality assurance experience
Knowledge of chemistry
Automotive paint knowledge and experience –ECOAT, pre-treatment
Knowledge of circulation systems
RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred
Strong technical service aptitude
Strong data collection, organization and presentation skills
Strong oral and written communications
Experienced with Microsoft Office, minimum of basic Excel ability
Demonstrated strong teamwork skills
Proven ability to work alone or in a team environment
Proven ability to problem solve, troubleshoot problems
